Hi,
I'm back at school after nearly 20 years in the sales force. That part included being involved in retail sales, outbound sales, sales management, merchandising, hookups of audio/video and computer equipment, purchasing and training. I have won various contests during my career and feel it is time to go on with a little change to my life.
So, I'm gonna be a math teacher. Good luck kids, you'll have to put up with my so-called Doug Jokes (one of my coworkers says that one in 15 is funny, I think it's more like one in 9 is really funny, the others are eye rollers).
I do enjoy math and I have worked with kids as both a softball coach and as umpire (and parent), so hopefully I can do a good job teaching.
My hobbies and activities include recreational piano playing (I was All-America honors on tuba in 1978 with United States Collegiate Wind Bands), gardening, hockey, baseball, football, listening to music while doing most things, doing things with my friends and family.
My strengths are perseverance, patience, ingenuity, creativity, resourcefulness (why did they call me MacGiver at work?) and modesty(?).
